Walking through the woods Down my usual left path Recovering from the after affects Of my newfound dragonless sky Trying to find my missing piece Wondering if this is the wrong way A light smacks me across the cheek
Sitting in the middle of my path Light shinning directly onto it Lies a lonely tear soaked honeysuckle A sound of crying escapes it Cautiously I approach this oddity When unfurling like an angels wings Arises a woman from the flower
Weeping tears of pink down her cheeks I place a paw upon her shoulder Transforming into my human self Talking with sincerity into her ear Comforting her river flowing eyes Trying to make sense of her pain
She tells me tales of a sloth Who left her to play childish games How she gave her heart and soul To ensure his eternal happiness When all he seemed to care about Was his own selfish agendas
Memories started to strike me Of all the failures in my past The times I gave my heart Gave every ounce of energy To ensure someone else's happiness To have them up and abandon me Never caring about the pain they caused I felt a calm sweep over me She had the same energy as me The same struggle with love Knew how to treat her other She is what I've been looking for Overwhelmed by this I kiss her That's when I started to fall
Not into the void of darkness This was a different fall Light seemed to surround me Flashing waves of pink A blanket wrapped around me Protecting me in it's soft fabric Opening my eyes I smiled
It wasn't a blanket at all But the arms of my honeysuckle Making me feel free and safe The doubt no longer within Rays of her sunshine lighten me Together we start down our path Lost in the fields of honeysuckle passion
